Before and After
This is a very large room, right at the entrance of the home. The massive bookshelf and fireplace was all painted cream. We faux grained all the cabinetry and shelving using a (mirror image) butterfly grain pattern. The fireplace has some beautiful detail, but wasn't being appreciated at all. We aged the finish, and did 24k gold leafing on selected detail. This fireplace now looks like the jewelled centrepiece of this home.
