Faux Grained Burl
This keyboard drawer is part of a computer desk and cabinets that cover almost two full walls of a home office. We did the finish over plain white, primed MDF. The cost of building these cabinets with real burl would have been outrageous. We finished with five coats of acrylic clear, and smoothed with 000 steel wool in between coats. You just can't keep your hands off the glassy finsh.
