Finally, a Solution
These homeowners had their huge kitchen repainted three times before they realized the problem was the vast size of a plain painted ceiling was overwhelming the room. We faux finished the ceiling with a soft colour wash, then matched the ceramic floor tiles with this image directly over the table. The faux beams extend to specific points in the room...to a window, to an entrance, to the sink, etc. It finally tied the room together, and added the needed quaintness to this kitchen.
